SINGAPORE, April 9.
The danger of spread of disease by air was shown ..when Mr. Van Haselen, a high official, of the Royal Dutch air line, died of cholera near SingaporeMr. Van Haselen came by air from The Hague and stayed, three, days, at Bangkok, where an epidemic was abating, but' at one. time, hundreds/of people were' dying weekly. ' The Dutchman travelled by aeroplane to;. Penang, where he ; joined' a boat. He then became ill.-and was.dead in. five.hours;,
The ship, the aeroplane, and the passengers have been quarantined at Singapore and'in Java respectively.
