Few to sell and rhany to buy was the principal cause of a sharp rise in prices for all classes of stock at today's sale at Feilding. For a small offering of fat sheep prices were up 3s a.head for ewes and wethers, and1 lambs were .up ss. A total clearance was made., The store sheep pens were lightly stocked, and there was an excellent sale for ewe and wether lambs, which advanced 2s a head. Breeding ewes also met with a strong demand. A good pen of twotooth ewes in lamb to Romney rams made 395. 3d, and a pen offourJtooth r.w. .Southdown rams 30s after keen bidding. . . . /., : ; ;. ..-'.... ..-.

Heavy beef breeds sold particularly well, and ex-dairy breeds maintained previous good levels. .The store cattle pens included some lines oi run1 cattle, which were eagerly sought, Hereford and P.A. bullocks fetching £9.
