THE KING'S HEALTH

MALICIOUS RUMOURS

PREPARING FOR CORONATION

(Received March 1, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, February 28. The King's rare public appearances have led to the circulation of rumours in Mayfair that his health is not sufficiently good to enable him to undertake his arduous duties as Sovereign, declares the "Referee."

These stories are. without foundation. His Majesty is fully occupied preparing for the Coronation and learning the routine of Kingship, and he will appear after the Coronation much more frequently in public, though naturally he is of a retiring disposition.

If malicious'1 rumours persist the authorities may take action against the instigators.
