FEELING RUNS HIGH

RIOTING AT LIMA

SOUTH AMERICAN SOLIDITY

LIMA (Peru), August 11. The decision of the International Football Federation at Berlin annulling the 4-2 football victory Peru scored over Austria at the Olympic Games provoked anti-German riots here today which will possibly result in an international incident.

Crowds massed at the presidential palace, where President Benavides, surrounded by 'Cabinet Ministers and military aides, addressed the gathering. He said he had instructed Peru's Olympic Games officials to withdraw the Peruvian athletes from the Games, and added that he had received cables from th,e Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Mexico "solidifying the Peruvian attitude against the crafty Berlin decision."

Later the mob tore the Olympic flag from the Austrian Consulate and stoned the German Consulate before being dispersed by the police.
