KILBIRNIE R.S.A
Another very successful card party was held last night at the headquarters of the Kilbirnie branch of the R.SA, and those taking part in the games and fare provided enjoyed themselves thoroughly. These card evenings have now been conducted weekly for the past eighteen, months, and are certainly growing in popularity, and favourable comment is often, heard concerning the congenial atmosphere and the excellent supper provided by the ladies' committee. Last night was no exception to the rule.
The prize-winners at bridge were Mrs. Gray and Mr. P. Michalson, and the successful players at "500" were Mrs. K. Tasker and Mr. A. Ogden.
, It was announced that at the ladies' card afternoon held last Thursday the prizes were won by Mrs. C. H. Knowles for bridge and Mrs. E. Harris for "500." These special afternoons for ladies only are held every alternate week, and the whole of the proceeds are devoted solely to the ladies' own benevolent fund.
