STRICTLY INCOGNITO
PRESS ENTHUSIASM
BELGRADE; August 10. The Prince Regent, Prince Paul, and the British Charge d'Affaires, Mr. J. Balfour, welcomed King Edward at the railway station at Jezenice and drove him to Prince Paul's summer residence and presented Princess Olga. After this they accompanied him by train to Lyublyana to catch a special court train to Zagreb en route for Sibenik, where the King boarded the yacht Nahlin. The weather is at present rough. The King's incognito was strictly observed, though pedestrians at Salzburg, where he made an earlier stop, waved to the King, who waved back as he walked through the streets after visiting the castle of Helbrunn and St. Peter's cemetery and inspecting the Salzburg festival ball. Police detained a Press photographer who tried to take a snapshot of him. The Press prints long and biographical editorials of welcome. The Yugoslav court cook has been detailed to help the King's chef, and a sumptuous touring car has been dispatched to Sibenik for the King's land excursions.
There was no official reception, the Prime Minister, Dr. M. Stoyadinovitch alone greeting the King.
