KING'S HOLIDAY
EMBARKATION ON YACHT
TRIP VIA YUGOSLAVIA
LOUDLY CHEERED
(British Official Wireless.) (Received August 11, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, August 10. The King, who flew from Windsor to Calais on Saturday, travelled by the Orient Express to Salzburg, whence, after a brief sight-seeing tour on foot during which he visited the Festsplhund, in which the Salzburg festivals are held, he proceeded by rail to Lyubiyana. He was met at the Yugoslav-Austrian frontier by Prince Paul and the British Charge d'Affaires at Belgrade, Mr. Balbur, (who accompanied his Majesty to Lyubiyana. After visiting Princess Olga, wife of Prince Paul and sister of the Duchess of Kent, at the Prince's summer residence, the Royal coach, was attached to a train for Zagreb, where the King stayed for a night in a siding. The journey to Sibenik in Dalmatia was continued ' early this morning, and later the King embarked on the yacht Nahlin at the beginning of his holiday cruise. \ Press messages report that the town was gaily decorated and that large crowds had assembled. They, cheered loudly, as the King left the railway coach! in which he travelled from Calais and proceeded on board. Later his Majesty went on shore and visited the cathedral. When the yacht sailed, accompanied by the British destroyers- Grafton and Glow Worm, a courtesy escort of two destroyers and a torpedo boat was provided by the Yugoslav naval autborities.
