(By Telegraph—Press Association.) | TAUMARUNUi; August 10: A fatal accident occurred this afternoon at Howey's Bridge, 16 miles from Taumarunui. A Maori, W. Houpapa, was driving a lorry laden with a bush j log, and he had a passenger with him, David Crosby. When the lorry was crossing Howey's-Bridge the structure collapsed and the lorry was precipitated into the creek. Crosby was killed outright and Houpapa's shoulders were badly crushed. He was admitted to Taumarunui Hospital. • . '
