AMALGAMATION DESIRABLE
"I am glad to note that the Government of the day commends the amalgamation of country clubs as it does the amalgamation of local bodies," said Mr. H. C. D. van Asch, president of the North Canterbury Racing Club, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet at the annual meeting at Rangiora last week. "Personally. I think, although I do not know if it will ever eventuate, that the Amljerley and Rangiora Clubs should amalgamate. Then we would have two. or possibly throe, good meeting" a year."
