CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The weather is now settled, and the track will be in good order for the second day of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's Meeting tomorrow.

The principal event, the King Edward Handicap, will see Gamble and Graham Direct doing further battle from the same mark, and there is a high-class field of trotters in the Stewards' Handicap. First day's form may not prove1 to be reliable. The following may be well supported:—
