EXTENSIVE THEFTS
ACCUSED'S ALLEGATION

AUCKLAND, This Day
Admitting that he had stolen goods valued at £217 from the .firm of outfitters by whom he was employed, John Burns, aged 29, a window dresser, alleged that he had carried out ■ the thefts at the suggestion of another man. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
Arthur Ernest Tapp, aged 44, a billiard marker, charged with receiving goods valued at £18 from John Burns knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained, was remanded till Thursday.
