Mr.,.R. A. Wright (Independent, Wellington Suburbs) asked the Minister in charge of the Police Force (the Hon. P. Fraser) if he was aware that probationary constables were not paid more than 11s per day, considerably less than was paid to men on public works, and if he would consider the matter with a view to effecting a readjustment. '
