WADESTOWN MEETING
The annual meeting of the Wadestown branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society was held recently at The Vicarage, Main Road. Mrs. Ashley-Jones presided over a very interested and enthusiastic gathering. After listening to an address .by Mrs. Porter on the efforts of the branch for the past year, also on the wonderful world-wide increase in the distribution of the Scriptures all collectors present volunteered to.do'their utmost • for ,1936, several of them undertaking to expand their collecting areas. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs. Ashley-Jones; secretary, Mrs. H. D. Thomson; collectors, Mesdames Curtis, McKenzie, Booth, Liggins, A. Thomson, Ensell, H. D. Thomson, Misses Lomas arid E. Cook. Afternoon tea was provided by the president, who was accorded a : hearty vote of thanks for her hospitality. To keep linoleum in good Condition, go over -it occasionally after washing with a little fresh milk. Apply with a soft cloth, and;leave until1 dry, then polish in the usual way.
