BRIDGE PARTIES

HELPING THE NURSERY

• Mrs. B. B. "Wood, on behalf of the Smith Family, organised a bridge party in: aid- of the Citizens' Day Nursery, which took place in the comfortable Palm Lounge of the Hotel St. George yesterday afternoon. It was a very enjoyable party. The room was filled with people seated at orange and green cloth-covered card tables on which cards and scorers made additional splashes of colour.' A delicious tea was served. The party resulted in a" substantial sum being raised, - for which Lady Gray, president and founder of the-Day Nursery, warmly | thanked the Smith Family' in a brief speech. Mrs. B. B. Wood also spoke, thanking all those present for their support of the effort. ■
