Many functions were held during July which swelled the total apprecU ably in the Y.W.C.A. money-raising effort. Misses Joan and Betty Rayner generously donated the proceeds of two concerts to the fund while'other sources of profit were a "motor treasure,"' two children's parties, a "bring-and-buyj sale," and a "progressive games night: The committee announces the^ following winners of "The Best-known Citizen" competition, run in, connec-, tion with the drive: D. Trolove, 5 Athol Crescent, R. Cade, 16 Tinakori Road, and E. J. Anderson, 16 Scarborough Terrace, tied for first place.!
