GOOD SEASON AT FOXTON
(Special to the "Evenihg Tost.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. Continued financial improvement is shown in the annual report of the Foxton Racing Club, to be presented 'on the annual meeting of. members on August 20. After allowing for £202 10s for depreciation, a profit of £15 Is Id was made for the year. During the year the club conducted two meetings, in September and May, both being well patronised by the'public. The course and[ buildings have been kept in a good state of repair,, and considerable ; improvements'have been effected. Regret is expressed at W. Kirkland's .decision not to seek re-election to1 the committee. Mr;' Kirkland has rendered valuable service to the club during his term; of office and 1 has consistently lent his support as an'owner. (Nominations have been received for the following positions:—President, Mr. W. E. Barber: vice-presidents, Messrs. S. B. Austin, M. B. Bergin, R. Bryant, and D. R. Ogilvy; stewards, Messrs.- C. C. Price, E. H. Robinson, and E. M. Wylie. As there are no further, nominations an election will not be necessary.
