PALMERSTON SALE
Values for sheepskins showed a decided rise at Abraham and Williams, Ltd.'s sale of wool oddments, sheepskins, hides, and tallow held last week. Competition for the , whole catalogue was very keen and all lots sold at satisfactory values' on today's markets. Only a few lines of fleece wool were offered, the bulk of the catalogue being crutchings, which were very firm to Jd better. Fine woplled skins showed the greatest rise of 2d per lb, while Other sorts were Id per lb dearer.
The following is the range of values: | —Wool: Southdown, to lOJd; crossbred, 7Jd to BJd; crutchings, first 7Jd to B£d, second 6d to 7^d; pieces, to s£d;, dead, 6£d to 7Jd. Sheepskins: Fine hoggets, IOJd to lid; hoggets, 9d to 10$ d; threequarter to full wools, 9§d to lOJd; | quarter to half wools, 9d to 93d; crossbred damaged, 6Jd to 7Jd;' lambs, 9|d to 10Jd.
