ARAB'S TREACHERY

DISTURBANCES FEARED

(Received August 4, 1'1.40,a.m )

ALGIERS, August 3.

Advancing towards the-Grand Imam, head of the Moslem Church in Algiers, apparently to pay the customary tribute and kiss his forehead, a young Arab plunged his dagger into the Grand Imam's heart.

The murderer is believed to have been hired by a Moslem political sect. Four Arabs have been arrested. It is feared that disturbances in Algiers may follow.
