WIREMEN'S MEDAL
WON BY : WELUNGTONIAN
Through .the New Zealand Cablemakers' Association, the Cablemakers' Association of London gives two gold medals to New Zealanders entering for the electrical wiremen's1 examination each* year, one'-for practice and the, other,, for theory. For the'first ,time the award' for highest marks in 1 the ■ practical examination has been awarded to a Wellington" youth, Mr. J. H. Hartnett, of the signalling inspectors' branch of the New Zealand railways.
.The medal will be.presented to Mr. Hartnett at a gathering at the Dominion Farmers' Institute tomorrow afternoon by the General Manager of Railways, Mr. G. H. Mackley
