VISITORS FROM AMERICA

A party of nine American women, led by Mrs. G. L.JPoole, past president of the Federated Clubs of America arrived at Wellington by the Maunganui from Sydney today in the course of a tour of Australia and New Zealand The party passed through here recently en route for Sydney, where the visitors spent four days in sight-seeing They are to leave Wellington tomorrow afternoon for the Cheateau Tongariro, and will tour the North Island before leaving Auckland on August 18 by the Aorangi for Vancouver. Other members of the party are' Mesdames J. O. Selh, E. W. Shirk, W S Comley, R. P. Shapard, and F. P Roberts, Drs. M. Gomel and L. L Butcher and Miss V. V. Goodwin.
