AEROPLANE MISSING

United Press Association—By Electric TeleEraph—Copyright. (Received August 1, 2 p.m.) LONDON, August 1. An aeroplane with eight passengers, pilot, and wireless operator are missing off the Channel Islands. The machine left Guernsey- in bad weather at 11 p.m. and was due in Jersey in 20 minutes, but has not been heard from since. There is a possibility that it may have been forced down on the French coast.
An aeroplane search will be made at dawn.
