FRUIT INQUIRY

COMMITTEE'S SCHEDULE

: The committee of inquiry that has been set up by the Government to investigate the marketing and handling of fruit and vegetables in rthe Dominion will,; observe the following itinerary, which was announced by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. Gj Sullivan) yesterday:— Dunedin, August 7; Roxburgh and Alexandra, August 10-12; Dunedin, August 13-17; Christchurch, August 19-21; Hastings, August 26-27; Tauranga, August 31 and September 1; Auckland, September 3-8; Keri Keri, September. 1.0;': Auckland, September 14-17; Wellington, September 21-25; Nelson and Mot.ueka, September. 29October 5; Wellington, October 8-9. The above dates are subject-to alteration, but .the Minister stated, .that any change will be in the nature of a postponement, as the dates mentioned are the earliest on which the committee willbe sitting in'the Various places.

A copy of the committee's order of reference has been filedin the offices of the Department: of Industries and Commerce at Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin, and at the offices of the Magistrate's ~ Court ;at Roxburgh, Alexandra, Hastings, Tauranga; Nelson,; Motueka, arid KerPKeri, and is available for public inspection at any time during ordinary office hours.
