RUGBY, May 28. , It is announced in the London Gazette tonight that the Coronation of King Edward VIII will take place in Westminster Abbey on Wednesday, May 12, next year. The date was formally approved by his Majesty at a meeting of the Privy Council this morning at Buckingham Palace, attended by several Cabisijf Ministers, the Archbishop of Cant3| bury, and the Earl Marshal. T Tombrrow morning the Coronation, will be proclaimed by heralds at St. '. James's Palace, Charing Cross, Temple Bar, and the Royal Exchange. The 8.8.C. announces that the proclamation of .the date of the coronation of King Edward VIII will be broadcast from the Empire station at Davehtry on Friday, May 29; from 8.50 a.m. approximately to 9.30 a.m. approximately, G.M.T., on GSH, GSG, and GSF. Subsequent electrical recordings will be broadcast at 2 p.m., 5.15 p.m., and 9.20 p.m., G.M.T., on May '29, and at 1 a.m. and 5.15 a.m. on May 30. ". , .
