HECTOR AWARD TO DR.

OLIVER

At today's meeting of the" council'of the Royal Society of New Zealand Dr. W. R. B. Oliver was elected as the recipient of the Hector Award-for 1936, tribute being paid to the valuable botanical work which he has done. Dr..X. M. Curtis and Mr. E. Phillips Turner were .elected to Fellowships of the Royal Society.

Dr. Bronislaw Malinowski and Sir Otter' Wilckens" were elected honorary members.
