CITY MISSION CAMPS
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
LEVIN, This Day.
As in former years, a camp for boys is being held on. the grounds of the Levin Racing Club, under the supervision of the Rev. T. Fielden Taylor, Wellington City Missioner. There are 150 boys, the sons of relief workers or men on sustenance, in camp and the time of Mr. Taylor and his assistants is fully occupied in ■ supplying the varied forms of amusement needed by the boys, whose ages range from seven to seventeen.
Fatigue and mess duties are undertaken in rotation, and" organised games are a feature of the csimp. Visits have been made to the beach and the Ohau River. ' " . . .
Mr. I'aylor wishes: to acknowledge the ready assistance given by the Levin Racing Club for the. use of its grounds and buildings; the.Kevin Borough Council for the use of the baths; Mr. Swabeig, Otaki: Mrs. N. Kirkcaldie, Muhunoa East; Mrs. Vickers, of Levin; and the many other people in and around Levin who have made contributions. A similar camp in charge of Miss Solomon is being conducted on the Foxtpn racecourse, where there are 100 girls.
