YATES—WILLOUGHBY.

A wedding was solemnised at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Willoughby, Wellington South, on December 24, when their younger daughter Stella was married to Douglas, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Edward Yates, Lower Hutt.

The bride, who was given away by her father wore a gown of floral moire crepe in blue and lemon tonings, with a large picture hat trimmed with flowers. Her bouquet was of lemon pansies and blue larkspur.

The Rev. T. R. Richards performed the ceremony.

The reception was held in an adjoining room, which was decorated with white carnations and orange blossom. Only close members of both families were present. The bride's mother wore an all-over floral patterned marocain frock with navy background, and a large navy hat. Mrs. Yates, the bridegroom's mother, wore floral silk crepe on black background and large black hat.

When Mr. and Mrs. D. Yates left the latter wore a fur-trimmed forget-me-not crepe ensemble coat over her wedding dress. Their future home will be at Oriental Bay.
