UPPER HUTT LEAGUE

The final of the Upper Hutt Cricket League knock-out " competition was played on Saturday, and resulted as follows:—

Maori Bank Colts, 170 (Irvine 76, Harper 38, Smith 33) and 147 for two wickets, declared (Smith 72, Skerton 31 not out, Tucker 31 not out), defeated Methodist, 104 (Longhirst 49) and 42 for two wickets. Bowling, for Colts, Auckram took four wickets for 34 runs, Smith three for 20, Harper three for 40; for Methodist, R.. McCrea took three for 38, McKay three for 47, A. McCarthy two for 29.

The losers in the preliminary round played each other, Trentham defeating Upper Hutt by an innings.
