HUTT TOURNAMENT

WON BY PERRY'S TEAM

The Hutt Valley Bowling Tournament was concluded yesterday. The wind interfered slightly with the semifinal games, but perfect weather and green conditions were available for the final, which was won by Perry's learn from Thorndon. This team was the winner of the Wellington Centre Tournament. The semi-final between the teams skipped by Perry and Porteous proved an exciting game. At the eleventh head Perry was 16 and Porteous 3. Porteous, however, rapidly drew up on Perry, and the game ended Perry 21, Porteous 20. The other games also showed excellent play. The winners and runners-up were congratulated by Mr. W. E. Pawson, president of the Hutt Valley Tournament Committee, who also thanked the various clubs for the use of the greens and providing afternoon tea tor the players. The results of the semi-final and final games are as follows: — Semi-finals. Springhall, Gibson, White, Perry (s) (T.), 21; Ewart, McKenzie, Fowler, Por■i'sous (s) (W.), 20; Johnson, Nelson, Cullen, Naylor (s) (T.), 24; Simpson, Clark, Bolton, Scolon (s) (V.), 12. Final.
