again. He is now 26 and has ridden over 600 winners. His performance yesterday equals the Australian and New Zealand record held by W. Thomas, who rode all seven winners at Townsville on July 29, 1929, and Albert Whittaker, who rode all seven winners at Huntly, New Zealand, on February 19, 1910.
/What is probably ati Australian record was established by the mare Sydney Belle at the Burragorang Valley picnic races on Boxing Day. There were six races on the programme, Sydney Belle winning eacn ot the lour in which she ran. She was ridden on each occasion by W. Hopping, who also scored on his only other mount during the afternoon. Burragorang Valley is a holiday resort about forty miles from Sydney.
