"The Case of the Howling Dog," based on a clever magazine story specially dramatised for. the screen, and "The Vagabond Lady." a play with a distinctly nautical flavour, are to be shown finally at the Tivoli Theatre tonight. . There is to be a change of programme at the Tivoli Theatre tomorrow. "Payment Deterred," which is to be the main film, stars Charles Laughton and Verrec Teasdale. The picture is the screen version ot one of New York's outstanding stage hits. Known as the mystery drama with the most startling climax ever devised, "Payment -Deferred" tells the story of a murderer who escapes detection for his own crime only to be convicted later for a crime which he did not commit. The additional feature is "Transatlantic Merry-Go-Round," a gay show, with comedy, drama, melody, mystery, and romance staged aboard a palatial ocean liner. There is a great cast of screen and radio stars headed by Jack Benny, Nancy Carroll, and Gene Raymond. "Naughty Marietta," which has been acclaimed everywhere as one of the' best pictures of 1935, is to be shown on Tuesday.
