FIRE AT KELBURN

HOUSE BADLY DAMAGED

OCCUPANTS NOT AT HOME

By the time fire was noticed in a five-roomed wooden building al 56 Glen Road, Kelburn, this afternoon, flames had a good hold in the sittingroom, which was the seat of the outbreak. The house was well ventilated, which enabled the flames to work their way from room to room. The sitting-room and its contents were extensively damaged and the rest of the house suffered less severe injury. The alarm was given just after 1 o'clock by neighbours. The house is owned and occupied by Mrs. Ada V. Burn. The occupants left home just, after 9 o'clock this morning.

The blaze was extinguished by the Central Brigade.
