PALMERSTON N., This Day. Building activity in Palmerston North continues to be brisk and the latest returns for the past six months reveal over 100 per cent, increase, compared with the corresponding period last year. .

For the month of September the City Council issued' 29 permits of a total value of £17,797. They include 14 dwellings, valued at £11,635, and a block of four flats.

The building figures for the past six months total £95,394, as against £37,789 for the same six months of 1934.
