Results of other matches are:— ' First Division.—Birmingham beat Middlesbrough, 4-2; Sunderland drew with Aston Villa, 3-3. Second Division.—Manchester United beat Portvale, 2-1; Bury beat Notts Forest, 4-1; Norwich beat Plymouth, 1-0. . . Third Division.—Southern section: Bristol City drew with Bristol Rovers, 1-1. Northern section: Stockport beat Crewe, 4-0. •
Rugby.—Royal Navy beat Civil Service, 13-0; Oxford University drew with Royal Air Force, 3-3.
