BUSINESS MEN'S APATHY

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

MASTERTON, This Day. The discussion at the : adjourned annual meeting of the Masterton Cham-, ber of Commerce, which was held yesterday, centred largely around means to increase the active membership of the chamber. The retiring president, Mr. E. M. Hodder, spoke strongly of the lack of support given by business people and urged that a campaign should be promoted with a view to increasing the active membership. A committee was set up to go into the matter and report to the next meeting. Mr. A. B. Wood was elected president, but the election of a vicepresident was held over for three •months. All members were elected as a council.
