RESCUE FROM HARBOUR
A smart piede of rescue work was dona at the Eastbourne Ferry Wharf about 10 o'clock this morning by Mr. W. Bandy, a young man who lives in Kent Terrace. He was on the point of boarding the ferry steamer when h» heard a splash and saw a middle-aged woman in the water. He unhesitatingly dived, in and held her until she could be pulled out.: The woman was taken to the Hospital.
Bridlington, in Yorkshire, has discovered a sport providing as many thrills as tunney fishing at Scarborough, 20 miles away. It is undersea fishing for giant lobsters in the south end of the bay.,, Several of the shellfish, weighing between nine and ten pounds and measuring nearly three feet long, were lately landed"by a steamer.
