AERIAL TRANSPORT
APPLICANTS TO BE HEARD
Tiro. applications for aircraft servic* licences are to be heard at Wellington on Friday morning by the Transport Co-ordination Board, which comprises Sir Stephen Allen (chairman) and Messrs. H. B. 8. Johnstons and L. Alderton. The licences are being applied for nnder the Transport Licensing (Commercial Aircraft Services) Act recently passed by Parliament.' East Coast Airways, Ltd., is applying for authority to run a daily return service between Napier and Gisborne, with two return trips daily daring th« summer half of the year. ; Air Travel (N.Z.), Ltd., desires to Inangnrate service* on the West Coast of thy South Island from Inchbonnie t» the -Frani Josef and Fox Glaciers, and from Hokitika or Greymouth Haast and Okarn. Clubs affiliated with the New Zealand Aero Club hare also applied for special licences for carrying on eommereial aircraft services for four years^ It is likely that before long th« board will be required ;to deal with' applications for licences for trunk services extending from Whangarei ;t« Invercargill. :
