KARORI CLUB

' The Karori Cricket Club's opening ceremony "was performed by the president (Mr. K. A. Edwards), who expressed the hope that the club would enjoy one of its best seasons on record. He complimented the committee upon the work which it was carrying out, and referred to the honorary membership campaign, by which it was hoped to. have fully 300 more people directly interested iv the club. Mr. Edwards also stated that there would be seven or eight teams under the club's banner in the AVellington Cricket Association's competitions this season.

Mr. A. Varuey, honorary secretary of the Wellington Cricket Association, was present at the opening and he congratulated the club upon its progress.

The wickets at Karori were fully occupied, the club's teams as well as other teams takiug part in practice matches.
