MEAT FOR BRITAIN
The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board is advised by cable from its London office that the shipments from Australia and South America to the United Kingdom during the month of September were as follows:—Australia: Mutton, 49,971 carcasses; lamb, 110,268 carcasses; beef (frozen), 132,710 quarters. South America: Mutton, 15,204 carcasses; lamb, 160,251 carcasses; beef (frozen), 2979 quarters, (chilled) 359,303 quarters. The^ shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same period were as follows:—Mutton, 1G4.537 carcasses; lamb, 372,460 carcasses; beef (frozen), 20,579 quarters, (chilled) 1048 quarters.
