The Wellington Stock Exchange was advised yesterday that Golden Dawn, ior S working days ended October 1, treated 253 tons for 1026 realisation, estimated at £7 2s per ounce. BIG RIVER. Big River Gold Mines reports for the week ended October 11 as fololws|— No. 3 aosscut: Distance driven 8 feet. Distance from south drive 24S feet. Distance from shaft 445 feet. The country is again hard. well The most of the week has been taken up timbering the level.. No. 4 south drive: Commenced on the south side of No. 4 crosscut 330 feet from shaft. A distance of 12 feet has been driven and a good solid reef 2 feet 6 inches wide met. Gold was seen in the stone. This discovery is strikingly important.
