WAIHI CRUSHINGS

The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Gold Mining Company, Limited:—For the period ended September 29 29,074 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 4940 fine ounces of gold and 36,859 fine ounces of silver. This includes 185S to^is mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 5310z of gold and 15390z of silver, also 502 tons of rtmduee, from the old Waihi mill site, which yielded 6ooz of gold and S67oz of silver. No. 5 Level: Crosscut north at 800 ft west on the Martha lode: At 193 ft in the north branch of the Martha lode has been intersected, true width, 6ft. The assay value is 43s 3d a ton. The course of the lode is 53deg and the dip PA in the north. The crosscut holed 'o the drive on the north branch at 209 ft. No. 6 level—Martha lode, north branch: Driving west, the next 44ft is ore of good grade, about 2ft wide. The nest 14ft assays o* 9d a ton, the width being about 3ft. No. 7 level-Martha lode, north branch: Driving weet, the next 36£t is of little or no value, the lode being about 2%ft wide. • Junction No. 6—lntermediate level, Royal lode: Driving east, the next 33ft assays 32s 6d.a ton, the reef being wider than the drive at the face. At. 113 ft the full width of the reef is lO'/ift, including 2ft country rock. Ihe assay value k 43s a ton.
