One hundred and fifty thousand people, lining the streets, gave Prince Henry an" enthusiastic welcome today. The main ceremony was at the Town Hall, where the Prince met prominent personalities, including the Governor (Sir Winston Dugan), the Chief Justice (Sir G. J. Murray), tho Premier (Mr. K. C. Butler), and the Lord Mayor (Mr. J. 1?. Cain). . The streets were blazing with colourful decorations, and the weather was bright and sunny. • Prince Henry later attended the lioyal Show. Crowds everywhere fought to obtain a glimpse of the Eoyal visitor. In the course of his reply to the official welcome, the Duke said: You are doubtless aware that your city derives a special connection with my family from* the fact that it took its name from . Queen Adelaide at the express wish of King William IV. T. Johnston, one of the Duke's car drivers who were brought from England, fqll into an engine ashpit at Tralce last night and received abrasions and possibly a broken rib. He received medical attention on the Royal train.
