CHILDREN'S PLAYLETTE

SUNDAY SCHOOL CONCERT

A charming playlette, entitled "Princess Rosebud's Dream," was given recently by the children of the Island Bay Methodist Sunday School, in the Masonic Hall, Island Bay. The entertainment was held to raise funds for the new infant Sunday school building. The part of the '.'Princess Rosebud" was taken by Ethel Sumner, that of the "Fairy Queen" by Joy Baker, and that of the "Fairy Dream Weaver" by Joyce Standen, while Joyce Read made an excellent "Mother Hubbard." The smaller children of the Sunday school made charming little fairies. Selected items were- given by the talented pupils of Misses Maude Farrant, Dorothy Daniels, Hazel Martin, Jenkins's Gym., and children from the Sunday school. Mr. T. L. James, on behalf of the children, made presentations to Miss 0. Cocker (who trained the children), Misa W. Furby (pianist), and Mrs. Cocker.
