BERLIN, October 11.

"It is reported that Germany is endeavouring to obtain her wool requirements from South Africa. . Herr Herman Rauch, Director of the Wool Association, is going there to tiy to arrange an exchange of German goods for wool.

Official figures show a steady trade shrinkage. Spring imports in March ■were, £33,166,000, and in August £28,500,000. Exports in March were £33,416,000, and in August £27,835,000.

Exports of Christmas tree decorations and toys were 25 per cent, below last year.
