ALLEGED POACHING
IN NEW GUINEA WATERS
JAPANESE DETAINED
CANBEEEA, October 11;
Alleged to have teen poaching in the vicinity of the Western Islands, a Japanese vessel, the Tocikine Maru, has been detained. Its crew of 24 and Captain Gomi have been placed aboard the Macdhui, which is now en route for Eabaul, where they will be charged with breaches of the fisheries and quarantine ordinance of the mandated territory of New Guinea, also with being prohibited immigrants. There were six tons of trocus shell aboard the detained vessel.
