The Hon. Mrs. Beaumont Pease, London, left yesterday by the Wanganella, from Auckland, for Sydney. Mrs. H. C. Nolan, Wairoa, Hawke's Bay, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Gerald Westenra, Warwick House, has returned north. Sir lan Fraser, M.P., Lady Praser, and Miss Jean Fraser, London, left Christclnir.ch yesterday for Waitaki and Dunedin, in continuation of their tour of New Zealand. Mrs. E. "W. Kane and Miss Amy Kane, of Wellington, .are visiting Dunedin, and are guests at the Grand Hotel. Miss Winnie Barns-Graham and Miss T. Hcggarty (Gisbornc) and Miss Hazel Bell (Havclock North) will motor to W'anganui, from Wellington, tomorrow for the finals of the golf championships. Mrs. E. G. Cramer-Bpberts, Tauranga, is spending a holiday in ' Wellington. Miss Lysaght, The .Mount, Tauranga, who has been visiting .Wellington, has. returned to the north. Mrs. G. H. Noad, Endeavour Street, Lyall Bay, left yesterday by" the s.s. Marama for an extended holiday in Sydney and, Melbourne, whore she will attend the Centenary celebrations. Miss Isabel Turrell, JPendalton, arrived in Auckland yesterday by the Tamaroa from England. She will arrive in Christchurch during the weekend to be the gnest of Mrs. Gordon MeCredie, Feudalton. Miss D. Monro, Blenheim, arrived in Wellington yesterday and left this morning for Hawke's Bay. Mrs. J. N, D. Macdonald (Kelburn) and Mrs. P. Matthews (Lower Hutt) motored to Wanganui yesterday for the finals of the golf championships.1 They will return during the weekend. Mrs. C. B. Beeby, Christchurch, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Woodward, .Leeston, left by the Mamma from Wellington yesterday for a trip to Sydney and Melbourne. Miss Kitty Connor, Wellington, is a visitor to Tauranga. Miss Elwyn. Low, Papanui, will arrive in Wellington- next week, to take up her training at the Karitane Hospital. Miss Tui Montague, personal secretary to. the Bt Hon. J. G, Cpates,;Minister'of Finance, left for Christchurch aiid~Timaru during the week. Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Belcher, Christchurch, will pass through Wellington tomorrow on their way to Hastings. They will be accompanied by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Partridge, Fendalton. Dr. and Mrs. Angus Harrop and their two children, London, will .return to England, after spending some months in New Zealand, by the Tainaroa on Tuesday, November 6. Dr. Harrop will visit Christchurch. for a few • days .before his departure. *Mr. and Mrs. J.-Peterson, Wellington, are staying at the Royal Hotel, Christchurch.
