TAWA FLAT RECREATION GROUND

The■ Makara County Council decided at a meeting today to concentrate all the relief workers at Tawa Flaton the reserve for the purpose of making the ground suitable for recreation purposes. The work will consist of levelling and the diversion of a stream. AVhen completed, the ground should be large enough for cricket or football, besides a bowling green, croquet lawns, three tennis courts, and perhaps a swimming pool.
