INTERRUPTED DANCE
GELIGNITE EXPLOSION
A HAMILTON INCIDENT

HAMILTON, This Day.
A charge of gelignite placed under the sido steps of the Frankton Town Hall caused a commotion among ;400 dancers when it exploded during, the progress of a dance on Saturday evening. ■' A section of weatherboarding was blown away, but little damage was done. The building shook with the force of tho detonation, but the couples were soon reassured and continued dancing. Most of the force of the explosion was spent, in tho air, as the gelignite was not in a confined space. Had the explosivo been placed further under tho building the consequence's may have been more serious.
Mr. A. W. Martin, Rupture Specialist from Duneilin, will bring his}: twentyninth annual visit to Wellington to a dose at the New Commercial Hotel, Lambton Quay.on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Hours from io a.m. ,to 5 g.ni.-r-Advt.
