The Miramar Branch of the League of Mothers met in the Methodist Hall, when Mrs. Wall presided. .Seven new members were enrolled, and an. attendance of over seventy-members was present. . ~ Miss Hinde, in a very interesting and humorous talk on "Some of the Social Customs of England," said that I the English woman, with her lack ot affectation and natural charm of manner, was the most perfect hostess in. the world." The month's <'good. thought" was contributed by Mrs. Austin: ."The more we give of happiness the move we have left." , . ■ Two charming songs were rendered by Miss Nora Green. ' • , , Votes of thanks to Miss Hinde and Miss Green were carried by acclamation and the serving of afternoon tea brought the meeting to a close.
