BUTTER OFFERS WITHDRAWN
Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd.. have received from their ■prineipuls, Trcngvouse ami Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cabled; advice, dated May s:— "Market closed on Friday. New' Zealand butter, 74s to 75s per cut; New Zealand cheese, white 43s"fid to 445, coloured 43s to 43s Od. Butter offers were withdrawn this morning owing to Press reports of the Australian quota."
The New- Zealand Producers' Co-opera-tive Marketing Association's weekly cabled market report from London, dated May.4, is as follows:—"Butter: Market has closed firm after a week of good business. New Zealand, finest grade 72s 6d to 745, first grade 725; Danish, 82*. Cheese: Market firm with more inquiry.' New Zealand, white 43s to 43s 6d: coloured,. 42s 6d to 435." " • ' ...
