STOCK SALES

HEAVY YARDING OF FATS

" Abraham.and Williams*, Ltd., report on the 1< eliding sale held on Friday as under:—A heavy yarding of fats again came forward, comprised principally of lambs on the average of medium quality, just rare pens of prime, well-finished sorts being submitted. The competition for these was not as keen as was the case last week owing no. doubt to the number ot medium lambs yarded. Fat cheep and wethers were on a par with recent sales, values just holding their own. btore sheep were yarded iv big numbers, and comprised principally lambs, any "ood sorts meeting good competition with a good clearance. Only a few pena of breeding ewes came to hand, the quality of these not being of the best. Consequently only a fair sale resulted. Dairy cattle and beef sold better than was the case last week, and we report a good clearance in this department. Practically no store cattle were yarded; store and potter cows met good competition.
